LEGO desk

Nat sent in this 120 pound desk, completely made from LEGOs...

• Approximately 35,000 LEGO bricks were used. This includes almost all the pieces from 32 Blue Tubs (#3033), almost 300 (!) small baseplates (8x16 studs), and 63 blue plate packs from LEGO Shop-at-Home. A few other pieces were also bought from private collectors (226 tiles so the drawers could slide, et cetera).
• The desk weighs about 120 pounds, I think. I have not actually weighed it... but I think that is close.
• About 7 pounds of glue were used. Brand: Oatey, All-Purpose (PVC, CPVC, ABS) Glue.
• The desk has the following dimensions (inches, WxHxD): 60" x 29.5" x 30".
• It has 7 working drawers (six small, one large).
• It has a folding lid in the top that conceals a hole for computer cables to drop through.
• Yes, the top is bumpy -- studs up. I offered to make the top smooth, but the client specifically requested otherwise. Whatever. I also offered to build a retractable keyboard tray in the front, but that was not wanted. Nor a mosaic of the company logo on the top or sides.

Incredible. Something you dont find everyday- a LEGO desk! its not freaking easy to do. the whole thing needs a lot of concentration and time, at the same time a lot of LEGO blocks of course. when i was young i cant even fix a mini car with my lego. imagine this desk. maybe in the near future we get to see a life structure of paris hilton built from LEGO blocks. safe for kids of course :)

of heavy laptops?

haha all of a sudden, everyone is getting a laptop. most of my coursemates are getting new ones, some from brothers(like me)

after what happened to my COMPAQ, my parents decided to let me use my brother's old compaq instead.

its heavy okay. although its 17 inch widescreen. i still prefer 14.1 inch, lighter and easier to carry. But what to expect from an old laptop which is already so old, say 3 years?

and yeah, my parents are back from UK after visiting my brother for his graduation(and they brought home the compaq i wouldnt wanna call as my wife). i havent go thru all the stuffs yet, but there seems to be lots of cool stuffs they brought home!

will ransack search thru their luggage bags soon :)

It does bring back memories. when i was small, i used to watch transformers and ninja turtles. yet transformers the movie came and all memories return. Somehow, I dont understand, of everything on earth WHY DO THEY PICK CARS? rofl. why not transform other stuffs into a machine?

back in action

whoa it has been so long since im here. time passes by so quickly that now im proud to put this up:

lets just say this marks the beginning fo my stressful and busy life. uni life finally begins after chinese new year... went to uni with extra weight in my belly. still busy finding time to get used to the whole new environtment...

so just to let you guys know i was missing in action for the past few weeks busy flirting in uni trying to get the girls of my dreams. haha

oh well lectures are great. my chem lecturer is uhm..u know... well...pretty.... i doubt i will sleep in her lecture classes. even if i do fall asleep at the back of the hall, ill most probably be dreaming/fantasizing of her *drools*

then theres this e-businness/e -commerce lecture which was totally interesting. the lecturer is cool...at least i stayed awake and did laughed at jokes through the whole 2 hours today. haha

and my statistics lecture. already started teaching statistics stuff. omygosh...sound so scary. especially when statistics is the toughest part in maths.

and OMG ive got accessed CHEM webtest almost every week and already have a MATHS DIAGNOSTIC TEST to take care off...waaaaaa *cries*

oh oh and wanna rant abit about monash. we have to give in some orientation questionnaire to get our t-shirt. the weird thing is that we can only do it from 12.30 to 1.30. and the queue is BLOODY LONG EVERYTIME. wth why must they only give out in 1 hour everyday? and i have lectures to go to. its not like we are BEGGING to get food from them (they made it look like that) and its just a bloody tee. dam.

and photo. id. i waited for 1hour 30 minutes plus. yes. just to get a photo taken. OMHG. sigh and we actually paid for all those in our general fees. great. talk about efficiency. yeah 1 hour and 30 minutes is NO BIG DEAL for uni students rite? so we get to stand there in the queue for the whole bloody time and make us look like fools.

well theres more but ill leave it to the future. wanna catch up on my korean drama. must finish them before the real torture starts.

Guess what came to my house through courier service? no, not santa clause but santa's goodie bag. lol!

Won it through a christmas contest at hitz.fm last month but i forgot what i actually did to win it but haha it consists of a book titled 'A Virtuous Lady' by Elizabeth THORNTON. wow nice name fooo! and three cds: Christmas Magic, Starry Starry Christmas and MET10 Awards CD.

when it arrived and i told my mum, HAHA! MERRY CHRISTMAS! yeah uh oh my goodie bag got stuck somewhere. and arrived NOW. o.0

the book really tempt me tho. i really want to start reading it but not until i finish my current book: THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE TEENS by SEAN COVEY. that book really moulded me into another person totally. its definately worth the read!
back to this new book i got, its about a lady who fell in love with a guy who is a playboy, a devil! can she mould him into another person through pure love? whoa sounds like a rough bed task ahead!

so now that im enjoying some really nice christmas songs, especially Santa Baby by Pussycat Dolls. their voices are so sexy! haha

Essay

Recently been craving for durian like a pregnant lady. I dont give a shit if ppl thinks it looks like shit or smells like shit for all i care but durian is indeed the king of fruits. the smell alone is wonderful...makes u high like on viagra tongkat ali or tun kacip fatimah. and the thorns...err thorny? Opening the durian alone can be great experience. It takes skills.(actually i wanted to say that it feels like opening someones asshole but lets just keep this to ourselves :p) My dad brought some durians and boy, we really enjoyed the sweet and aromatic durians.

This is the famous XO durian. it costs RM10 and theres only 4 pieces/biji inside. 1 biji=2.50. Expensive but worth it. The taste is WHOAAA!

oh yea back to fibre optics. We malaysians cant be bothered much. Streamyx is already like shit sometimes with so many downtimes and sometimes cant even go online. earthquake or no earthquake our internet is still just bleeeeh! finally the world tasted how downtimes and slow internet is. haha. at least tmnet got some common sense. they redirected the route, so at least i can blog now lol.

oh how many words already so far? Sorry but i just got to rant about this. Do you know friendster? bet you do. Know bulletin board? It used to be a good way to communicate and tell friends about events, prom and so on but now its just loaded with junk i can even stand to watch. But i daringly wore my fav pink tee shirt to mid valley megamall, 2 days before christmas. Recently ive been in front of the computer for long periods of time...i dont know what is going to happen to me. Since its holidays, i play games, watch DVD, chat online...gosh i did so many things! Even when i manage to get out of my house and go to foosball and to college(yeah i know i graduated but..) I still go to The Web (Taylors own cyber for students) to update blogs and so on...
